Login and go to the Courses tab on the top left-hand side
Click Browse Course Catalog in the upper left-hand side
Chemistry Placement Exam or Spanish Placement Exam (scroll down for Japanese Placement Exam)
Step 1: Enroll in Course.
Click on the empty text-box and type in Online
A course should show up saying Online_Placement_Exams
Click on the button next to Online_Placement_Exams
Click Enroll
A Self Enrollment page should appear. Make sure that this course is Online Placement Exams and click Submit.
If successful a Action Successful message should appear for Self Enrollment.
Step 2: Take Placement Exam
After you enroll in Online_Placement_Exams click on the Courses tab.
In your Course List look for Online Placement Exams and click on it.
This should take you to the Course Content page for this course. Click on the placement exam you want to take Chemistry or Spanish.
Chemistry Exam
Read the information regarding your exam then click on General Chemistry Advising Exam to start exam.
After you finish the exam, go to the menu on the left-side of the screen and click on My Grades to see your score for the exam.
Then click on Course Content in the menu to take you back to the Course Menu.
Click on "How to interpret your General Chemistry advising exam score" and follow the instruction to determine what Chemistry course to take.
Spanish Exam
Read the information regarding your exam then click on Spanish Self-Placement Test to start exam.
After you finish the exam, go to the menu on the left-side of the screen and click on My Grades to see your score for the exam.
Then click on Course Content in the menu to take you back to the Course Menu.
Click on "How to interpret your score" and follow the instruction to determine what Spanish course to take.
Japanese Placement Exam
Step 1: Enroll in Course
Click on the empty text-box and type in Japanese.
A course should show up saying Japanese_Placement_Exam.
Click on the button next to Japanese_Placement_Exam and click Enroll.
A Self Enrollment page should appear. Make sure that this course is Japanese Placement Exam and click Submit.
If successful a Action Successful message should appear for Self Enrollment.
Step 2: Take Place
After you enroll in Japanese_Placement_Exam click on the Courses tab.
In your Course List look for Japanese Placement Exams and click on it.
This should take you to the Course Content page for this course. Click on "Stage 1: Self Assessment Instructions" to download the instructions for your exam.
Read through these instructions and go back to Course Content page by going to the menu on the left-side of the screen and clicking on Course Content.
Click on "Stage 2a: Japanese Self Assessment Test" to download the test and go back to the Course Content page.
Click on "Stage 2b: Self Assessment Audio" and use this audio to take your Self Assessment Test.
After taking the test click on "Stage 3: Self Assessment Answer Key and Directions" and figure out your score.
Then refer to "Stage 1: Self Assessment Instructions" to determine what Japanese course to take.
